Under 12s are Champions

Dorset Storm director Jill Kemish could not conceal her joy after the clubs Under 12s side completed an unbeaten season to become Champions of the Solent Area Basketball Association Western League having beaten Weymouth 29 – 14 and Dorchester 40 – 18 in their final tournament of the season.

“Let’s remember three years ago we had no Under 12s set up.  This is the second undefeated season our Under 12s have had in that three year period – that is quite phenomenal.”

"The most significant praise should go to the players. This group of 15 players have come to every training sessions ready to have some fun and hungry to soak up information and improve the skills every week.  Several players have quite rightly had the opportunity to play up in the Under 14s league which they have earned with their continued hard work and progress.“

Huge congratulations then go to all the Under 12s who have made everybody at the club really proud.  Now you must keep up the hard work!  A big thank you too, to all the parents that have supported the team throughout the season.
